Inventronics announces the expansion of their global footprint with the opening of a new manufacturing facility in Bhiwandi, India in response to the increasing demand and growth in LED lighting. By opening this new facility, Inventronics solidifies its presence in India and is positioned to continue its leadership in producing innovative, quality LED drivers.
The new, modern facility is comprised of approximately 36,000 square foot with a 21,000 square foot manufacturing area, 11,000 square foot designated for the warehouse, 4,000 square foot for administrative offices and equipped with four loading docks. This new operation is a unique facility that initially creates 160 manufacturing jobs, provides business to numerous existing companies in the area and over time will expand this reach. They are estimating a production capacity of over 100,000 units per month. In addition to manufacturing Inventronics EDC and EAM series of LED drivers, the new facility will share space with management, supply chain and administrative services.
“We are excited to be opening this truly innovative facility. We identified India as a strategic market for Inventronics and recognized the need for specially designed products for the India market that could withstand the challenging power conditions,” says Gene King, director of International Business Development. “Opening this state-of-the-art facility was a strategic choice to better serve and bring value to our customers in India.”
While building the new facility, Inventronics included many green logistics techniques to ensure less energy is consumed, efficient lighting and energy management systems are implemented, utilizing an efficient use of warehouse space, plans to source locally and the elimination of non value-added activities. To further this initiative, they installed Inventronics LED drivers to provide smart factory concepts into its operation and future plans involve running periodic energy audits and using solar-powered applications.
This new facility follows several recent expansion announcements from Inventronics such as increasing their warehouse space and distribution capabilities in the United States and Europe. In addition to these new expansions, the company has made many investments to their manufacturing facility in Tonglu, China to ensure they better serve their customers and continue to bring value to the market.
